The orphanage - movie review

The orphanage (the orphanage)

In: Spain
Language: Spanish

Synopsis: Laura (Belen Rueda), her husband Carlos (Fernando Cayo) and his son Simon foster (Roger words) moved in a chilling and big house by the ocean. The House was once an orphanage where he lived from Laura and she has plans to open it as a home for disabled children.

When young Simon starts talking about imaginary friends, parents nothing of which to the principio.Pero soon their stories become increasingly more complex, and start playing games strange, elaborate. And after meeting with a worker social elder, mysterious (Montserrat Carulla), Laura begins to hear things go bump in the night (and sometimes) during the day.

One afternoon, while hosting a party for disabled children, Laura is attacked by a child masked and Simon disappears. As she searches frantically for him, Laura begins to unravel the dark and frightening story behind the orphanage.

The Good: more movie reviews from the orphanage has been positive and I think that he is certainly another online recent large Spanish films. It is a thriller of ghost solid which not only scares the hell you, but has a great plot to arrancar.Belén wheel does a fantastic job as the protagonist, and the entire movie only has a sense of sophistication that rises on the horror genre.

The scares are solid and never cheap. All the elements of history, scares and all make sense and fall into place. While the theme of "the child playing with imaginary friends that are to be ghosts" is nothing new, director Juan Antonio Bayona gives his characters enough emotional depth and exclusivity to keep you interested.

The strongest part on the orphanage, however, is the way in which handles the muerte.Visto issue from the perspective of children and adults, this topic is elegantly portrayed as a universal struggle that creates some of the most genuine and poignant film moments.

The Bad: unique things that upset of the film character that Belén Rueda sometimes investigate fears noises in the middle of the night was everything for her misma.nadie in the minds of the right that you want to stay in a large, isolated mansion that looks as inviting to doubt that, in addition as mother of Norman Bates House in the film psychosis.

Wanting this film: this is a good year for you if you're in the mood for a thriller solid. the scares are definitely frequent and powerful, but fortunately not traumatize le.Pero even if films of fear not your thing, this film is what merece.Al final, is a powerful and moving that deals with a difficult subject and ends with a satisfactory note history.

Whatever you do not see this film for you during the night.
